My water temperature is too cold even with the dial turned to the hottest setting

If your shower is unable to provide hot water, even with the dial set to the hottest setting, this would indicate that the Thermostatic Cartridge/Cassette has faiLED.

WHY DID THIS HAPPEN: The most common reason for this to occur is that the water pressures to your shower are NOT BALANCED. This means that the Hot and Cold water is not the same pressure. If you have a Combi Boiler, then fitting a pressure equalising valve will ensure that you always have balanced water pressures. Alternatively if you have a twin impellor pump, this will also balance the pressures for you.

SOLUTION: You need a replacement Thermo Core. You will need to remove the core that has failed, and identify which type you have fitted. Then request or purchase a replacement of the correct type. For details of removal of thermo cores, download the PDF attached below.

NOTE: Fitting a replacement Thermo Core without correcting unbalanced water pressure will result in rapid degradation of your replacement. If you shower is under Warranty, then we will ask for confirmation that you have ensured your water is balanced before sending you further replacements.

When replacing a Thermostatic Core, take care to ensure that the water temperature dial relates to the actual water temperature.

Turn the dial to cold and test that the water is cold. Now turn the dial to the 38 degree stop point and with a thermometer test the water.
To adjust the temperature, simply remove the dial and rotate clockwise or anti clockwise as required and re-test until the desired water temperature is achieved.NOT TESTING THE REPLACEMENT THERMOSTATIC CORE MAY LEAD TO DANGER OF SCOLDING
