'Deluxe' electronic control pads fitted to steam showers with the control pads as shown below are able to produce ERROR codes to indicate problems with the steam function. If you have an ERROR CODE begining with 'E' please refer to the supplie dmanual with your shower or the following fault diagnosis.
ERROR CODES:E1: Malfunction of temperature sensor E2: Malfunction of water level checking E3: Malfunction of overtime water level checking E5: Dry heating E6: Water Starvation E1 - The temperature sensor is a silver/chrome headed bullet shaped end on a black cable. This sensor should be located from the rear of the shower, through a chrome gromit with its head protruding slightly into the shower and located on the central control panel. The sensors job is to detect the cabin temperature and relay to the Steam Generator to enable the cabin to maintain the desired temperature set on the control pad. E2 - This error indicated that the steam generator is not getting any or sufficient water.
Check all connections TO the steam generator to ensure water is getting there. (ideally remove the hose that connects to the steam generator box and check water comes out). Check also that the WASTE OUT of the steam generator allows water out and that there is a hole in the white waste assembly for the water to be removed to. Fault may also be a sensor problem in the steam generator. E3 - System not received instruction on water level or temperature. Disconnect the shower from electrical power for 30 minutes and restart. If the problem persists, contact the supplier. E5 - The water heating/steaming element is active without water being present. Refer E2 for solutions. E6 - Heating element has not become active as no water is detected. Refer to E2 errors for more information. |
